Rabbi Kramer is currently participating in a worldwide study program called Daf Yomi (Daily Page), where he studies a single page of Talmud every day and in the course of seven years will complete the entire Talmud! As he completes each tractate of Talmud, the congregation holds a celebration, called a siyyum, where Rabbi Kramer teaches something from the tractate and recites some special prayers, as well as a special version of Kaddish. Each siyyum is followed by a festive meal called a seudat mitzvah. By participating in the Daf Yom Sponsorship Program, you are helping to fund our community's celebration and showing your support for the important mitzvah of Talmud study. Participation in the program may be done in memory of a friend or loved one, in honor of a simcha, or just to show your support. There are three sponsorship levels:
Daf (Page) $60
Perek (Chapter) $180
Masechet (Tractate) $360
Sponsors at all levels will receive a special blessing at the siyyum, and can arrange for Rabbi Kramer to come to your home to study the page(s) of Talmud that you have sponsored. To become a sponsor, please contact the CBI office by calling 219.922.0101 or by clicking here.
